Health and Nutrition

At Un Mundo de Amigos (UMDA), we understand that a child’s well-being is integral to their learning journey. We are committed to fostering a healthy environment where children can thrive. In our centers, our team works with families to find and access community resources to ensure that each child’s needs are met.

Our dedication to your child’s well-being extends to their daily meals. UMDA follows the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines to plan and serve nutritious meals. Children at our centers receive well-balanced breakfasts, lunches, and snacks every day, all at no additional cost to parents. Our meals are thoughtfully prepared to align with nutrition guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), promoting your child’s overall health and development.

Our Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPM)

It is the goal of UMDA to implement IPM by focusing on long-term prevention or suppression of pests through accurate pest identification, by frequent monitoring for pest presence, by applying appropriate action levels, and by making the habitat less conducive to pests using sanitation and mechanical and physical controls. A licensed pest control company will use pesticides that are effective will be used in a manner that minimizes risks to people, property, and the environment, and only after other options have been shown ineffective.
